Leadership Team

David Prohaska is a seasoned biopharmaceutical professional with more than 28 years of drug development experience including roles at Protinus Consulting, LLC, Aravive, Meryx, Furiex Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD).  While at Furiex and PPD, Dave was the Nonclinical lead for multiple drugs, including Nesina® and Viberzi®.  In his various roles he was responsible for directing all aspects of nonclinical development from due diligence to the preparation of regulatory submissions.  This included being responsible for the scientific, technical, operational aspects and on-site monitoring, data interpretation and report review of non-GLP and GLP primary pharmacology, metabolism, pharmacokinetic, toxicology, genotoxicity, reproductive toxicology and safety pharmacology studies.  Additional responsibilities included the design and implementation of creative due diligence studies prior to investment, BARDA submissions and meetings, coordination of the development of juvenile clinical study designs that also encompassed face-to-face meetings with the FDA.  Clinical responsibilities included the outsourcing and management of clinical assays including bioanalytical assays for the determination of concentrations of drugs and biomarkers and the presence of anti-drug antibodies.  Mr. Prohaska earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.
