Kim Hawkins, PhD
Kimberly Hawkins, Ph.D., is a dynamic and accomplished professional in Program Development, Project Management, and Translational Science, with a proven track record in biopharmaceutical innovation, cross-functional collaboration, clinical development, and strategic consulting. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of BioMind LLC, a biotech consulting firm based in Virginia, Kim provides expert guidance to biopharmaceutical companies on program development, translational strategy, and operations. Currently, she partners with several clients, leading their development programs to drive innovation and accelerate drug development. Kim has a proven track record in scientific affairs, biomarker strategy, clinical trial execution, and regulatory support, helping organizations bridge the gap between early-stage research and clinical application. Prior to launching BioMind LLC, Kim held leadership roles at ImmunityBio, Aravive, and Sanofi, and a consulting role at Zentalis Pharmaceuticals, where she played key roles in development strategy, project management, team leadership, medical and scientific affairs, pharmacology, immunogenicity, and clinical operations. Dr. Hawkins earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of Florida, where she specialized in neuroinflammation and stroke research, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in neuro gene therapy.
