Leadership Team

Tim Costello, Ph.D., is an accomplished pharmaceutical professional with more than 30 years of pharmaceutical development experience, including roles at Furiex Pharmaceuticals, Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD), Forest Pharmaceuticals, DuPont Pharma and DuPont CR&D. While at Furiex Tim was the CMC lead for Viberzi®. His experience started with chemical process development then expanded into both discovery programs and pharmaceutical dosage form development. Tim has experience in synthesis, manufacturing (including sourcing), quality, and regulatory CMC for both clinical studies and commercial development. He has worked in this role in both traditional large pharmaceutical companies, small biotechs, and as a consultant both as a CRO employee and an independent. Tim learned not only to manage the technical aspects of development but have experience with the contractual aspects of vendor procurement and management. Dr. Costello earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from University of Pittsburgh.
